We had such a wonderful staycation on the west coast of Scotland. Foresters Lodge has been the perfect home to return to after our adventures, so thank you Mark & Amy.

It has been the most perfect week to unwind, relax + reset before we return to Uni/work. We have had a mix of weather but even on the wetter days we have been able to enjoy the views from the lodge. We've had no luck with the pine marten but have run into Mr Fox eating peanuts left for pine marten. We also ran into lots of deer on our first night.

Feeling extremely lucky for such a special week.

Firstly the treats were lovely surprise and thoughtful, Thank you. The cabin was perfect and in a stunning location. Sadly the weather has been a bit hit and miss this week, the birds have eaten us out of house and home!! Thank you Mark and Amy for making us welcome. We're now going home feeling totally relaxed.

Great place to unwind and recharge those batteries. Nightly visits from Pine marten and the badger was an added bonus, my highlight was the dark sky. The stars and the milkyway was a sight I haven't seen for many years,The sky just lit up. Heaven for stargazers. Great hosts would love to come back to this amazing place xx

A magical week away from it all. We could hardly be torn away from the view but the local walks and wildlife were wonderful. The spa bath and Sauna were the perfect way to end the day. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the board games and DVDs during the quiet evenings, A real tonic. Thank you for having us , we want to come back again soon.

One of the most beautiful places we have ever had the privilege to stay in. Would wholeheartedly return! Would be perfect for a writer's retreat! Mark and Amy were brilliant and have thought of everything, communication has always been warm and welcoming the perfect hosts! The photos do not do the beautiful place justice, it is simply jaw-dropping! Walks in abundance on the doorstep in all directions, forests mountains and Loch Shiel.

Thank you for the most wonderful stay in your lodge. The location is perfect, loved the feeling of being isolated and enjoying all the wildlife here along with the changing light - perfect for painting and photography. Varied walks straight from the lodge. A variety of birds to entertain and of course seeing the Pine Marten so close was a treat. The Heather was spectacular. Mark and Amy are wonderful hosts, a veggie box is a must as is the venison. Would also recommend buying fresh fish on a Tuesday morning in Strontian. Wishing Mark and Amy continued success and look forward to returning soon.

Fantastic week which we thoroughly enjoyed in this well-equipped lodge in a beautiful setting. What more could you ask for? We have not been in a lodge that is so full of information on everything which added to our holiday.
The wildlife we had visit was great, so much variety of birds and the Pine Martens who visited daily. We also appreciated all the information Mark gave us too. Thank you.

We arrived here via the lake district, 3 days after our wedding for our honeymoon and it's been just what we needed, after a hectic few months, to properly unwind. The area is stunning, the locals so friendly, and the lodge is so cosy and well equipped (super comfy bed, bath, sauna every utensil needed in the kitchen!) And you are great hosts. Thank you for arranging champagne on arrival and the wonderful flowers, card, and a taxi service so we could enjoy an unforgettable meal at Kilcamb Lodge Hotel. We've had a fabulous time and it's going to be very hard indeed to drag ourselves away. It's made for a very memorable week away and a wonderful honeymoon.

We've had a fantastic week based here at Polloch. Definitely has felt like a wilderness adventure, but with the luxury of a lovely cosy, warm lodge. We cycled to Glenfinnan to have a view of the train on the viaduct great lunch at the museum's 1950 train carriage. We did the Jacobite train trip thank you for organizing the tickets. We thoroughly enjoyed Ardnamurchan lighthouse's Great drive. Finally but not least as everyone else has said, how lucky are we to have sat here each evening and watched pine martens at least 2 given different markings that combined with otters at Garbh Eilean have made it a very special week. Thank you Mark and Amy, Great lodge.

Stunning scenery! Amazing bike riding and hiking on the doorstep. The lodge is beautiful and we loved the sauna and jacuzzi ! With the peaty water, it felt like I was having a jacuzzi in a bath of whisky ! I wish!! I had a nose-to-nose encounter with the pine martin! Albeit through the lodge door! Won't forget that ever! You have to visit the Ariundle centre for lunch. Travelled 370 miles to get here! It was well worth it! The weather was amazing too. Will be back soon with our kayaks!

Well what can you say? Such a beautiful, warm cosy and luxurious lodge. Loved every minute of our weeks stay here despite the rather wet weather. It was just what we needed to de-stress and recharge. The lodge is truly a delight with every luxury you could need - one of the best places I have stayed in Scotland.
Thank you to my Sister Ali, and Mark and Amy for making it possible.
The Pine martens are a delight! If you remember to leave out peanuts at night you will be rewarded!

We came here for a week of de-stress after our wedding and to relax on our honeymoon! We could not have picked a better place, so peaceful and wonderful views. Mark and Amy have been fantastic and even had a card and bubbles for our wedding gift which was such a wonderful and thoughtful thing. We most definitely will be back we had the most amazing week and the weather was fantastic We saw so many amazing things and even had a visit from the pine martens. But little Alfie has to be my highlight can't wait to return in the future to see the handsome dog he will become.

Given our 3 night stay as a Christmas gift, and couldn't be more happier.
Definitely earns the title "Luxury self catering". Been to many that call them selves Luxury, but this by far out strips the rest. Amazing countryside and a lovely warm cosy Lodge for the cold nights.
Both Mark and Amy have been amazing, and always happy to help or advise if needed.
Would definitely recommend and will be back.

Absolutely fantastic week away from the world. Weather has been typically Scottish all seasons in one week.
Amazing place to come and unwind.
So so love the isolation.
We will be back.

Not ready to be leaving yet. Even the cavalier King Charles spaniel looks sad. A few flakes of snow are falling as I write, and after a snowfall yesterday I would highly recommend the walk to overlook Loch Shiel... There is a small track which climbs quite steeply (to the left of the road which leaves the property uphill) We moved to the Brecon Beacons some years ago for some sense of Wilderness but this is another level. Even if you restrict your travels to a few-mile radius of the lodge then there is so much to see, and so much peace to behold.

I came here to paint the landscape and I hope when home that I have been able to distil something of this place that makes me so unwilling to leave. Duncan Johnson.

Can't really express in words what an amazing time we've had!
Thank you

Spent a brilliant October half-term in the peaceful surroundings of Polloch and the Ardnamurchan peninsula.
The lodge has been fantastic, so well equipped + warm and cosy throughout. Ending a day in the rain with a Jacuzzi bath + Sauna is a must!!

The pine marten made an appearance on our very first night and we spotted 4 eagles. We have done a mixture of walking, driving, cycling + beaching and thoroughly enjoyed this area of Scotland. We will be recommending it to anyone who will listen. A very warm welcome from Mark and Amy from the moment we arrived.

What a place to switch off from it all!!

Two major activities included walking around Loch Doilet (it was lovely) and cycling Loch Shiel. We ended up having a late lunch in the hotel in Glenfinnan which was delicious!
Although the road was incredibly bumpy, the views were worth the pain!
We were rained on one day but enjoyed the selection of books and films and views from the windows.
We saw an abundance of birds (and if I knew anything about birds I'd tell their names.
We also saw a pine marten when we went to get eggs from forestry house(good eggs they were)
Thank you for a wonderful few days in a lovely part of the country.

We came here at a week's notice to get away from it all.
And we were blown away. The views are simply breathtaking.
The owners Mark and Amy are fantastic hosts and have thought of everything... Without doubt the most enjoyable and relaxing break we have had. The west coast lighthouse is a must, as is the distillery.

Thank you for equipping the lodge to such a high standard.
We've had several great walks along Loch Shiel & Doilet and explored some remote forest tracks as well.
A wonderful resource for nature watching, rest and recuperation.
The tea room with WiFi at Acharacle is very friendly & the tea, coffee and cakes are great!
We'll be recommending the lodge to family and friends.
