Foresters Lodge

Luxury accommodation in a remote setting

Welcome to Foresters Lodge

Foresters Lodge is a luxury cabin constructed from Norwegian spruce, tucked away in a secluded Glen. Only a short distance from the magical Loch Shiel, the lodge overlooks the Polloch River with breath-taking uninterrupted views of Bienn Resipol and is one of Scotland's last true wildernesses.

If you're looking for adventure, then Foresters Lodge has it all - right on your doorstep. Many of our guests spend their days exploring the mountains and glens by foot or bike, leaving the car untouched all week (great for the planet). They also have the added comfort of knowing waiting for them back at the lodge is a sauna to soothe those aching muscles and 24-jet spa bath to sit back and re-cap on the day's adventure.

Simply Relax and Enjoy

If you’re looking for peace and tranquillity, simply wishing to relax,  unwind and reconnect with each other then Foresters Lodge is a perfect getaway from the modern world. You'll find a vast library of books from wildlife, photography to Scottish history and over 100 DVDs to keep you entertained.

The cosy bedroom is warm and inviting with a king-size bed and luxury Egyptian bed linen and towels. There are built-in wardrobes, a dressing table with starlight mirror, and a kettle so you don't even need to rise for your first cup of the day.

The en-suite bathroom is pure luxury with its new bathroom suite and 24 jet corner spa bath for 2 with built-in headrests. There is a shower cubicle and the added luxury of a traditional steam sauna complete with his and her luxury towels and robes.

Champagne bucket on a pedestal is also provided.

A Truly Magical Holiday

The lodge has all you'll need for a magical holiday to remember, from its well-equipped kitchen to its king-size super comfy bed. There is a sumptuous velvet couples sofa in the living area and outside you'll find a spacious south-facing deck to while away the evenings or take advantage of our amazing dark sky - possibly the darkest in Britain. So, if you've never seen the Milky Way this might be something you'd like to share, wrapped up warm with a suitable beverage.

Outside, the lodge has its own storage area for wet gear, fishing gear, dog drying and storage for your bikes.

Guests have their own private parking area and private entrance to the lodge.

The decking to the front of the lodge is partly covered by a canopy.

  • Thank you so much, we've had a fantastic 10 days in your comfortable and cosy cabin. Its been wonderful to watch as the snowstorms passed over and transformed Beinn Resipol into a snowy mountain and despite the occasional rain and hailstorms, we've been blessed with several bright sunny days for glorious hill walking and cycling. So much wildlife to enjoy too, especially the delightful Pine Marten who graced the decking most evenings (and one morning too!) We really appreciated the biscuits and chocolates, thank you!

  • Thanks Mark and Amy for letting us enjoy your lovely cabin and for such a friendly welcome! We really appreciated the extra touches and festive decorations (including the magnificent mince pies.) We've had a lovely relaxing week here to re-charge for 2024! We hope to visit again in a summer to experience the area then. Hope you have a great 2024! Thanks again.

  • We had such a wonderful staycation on the west coast of Scotland. Foresters Lodge has been the perfect home to return to after our adventures, so thank you Mark & Amy.

It has been the most perfect week to unwind, relax + reset before we return to Uni/work. We have had a mix of weather but even on the wetter days we have been able to enjoy the views from the lodge. We've had no luck with the pine marten but have run into Mr Fox eating peanuts left for pine marten. We also ran into lots of deer on our first night.

Feeling extremely lucky for such a special week.

  • Firstly the treats were lovely surprise and thoughtful, Thank you. The cabin was perfect and in a stunning location. Sadly the weather has been a bit hit and miss this week, the birds have eaten us out of house and home!! Thank you Mark and Amy for making us welcome. We're now going home feeling totally relaxed.
